Do you think that in these 50 years we have achieved any of its initial objectives or, on the contrary, are we the same or worse than in 1970 in these aspects?

Today we celebrate the International Mother Earth Day. Official event proclaimed by the United Nations in 2009 but celebrated since 1970 with the aim of raising awareness of the problems caused by overpopulation and pollution, as well as the conservation of biodiversity and other environmental concerns. In other years, such as the celebration of its 20th anniversary in 1990, symbolic actions were carried out such as forming a human chain along the Loire River in France, reaching 800km in length with the intention of honoring one of the last clean rivers in Europe.

Today we celebrate its 50th anniversary, many of us do it from our homes in quarantine, and now that we have time, let’s reflect on the current model and its sustainability. How do you imagine this planet on the centenary of this international day? Will there be more or less pollution than there is today? Will this planet still be such an unequal place or will we have achieved some significant change in it? Hopefully, many of us will be there to find out, and with our actions and decisions, together we will certainly make it a better place.

For our part, the truffles we sell in our online store have always been organically grown.
